You may have thought that this trio of fresh-faced mmm-boppers had been consigned to the annals of pop - but think again. Having re-emerged Stateside with their surprisingly popular third album, Underneath, they're now all set to do the same over here, and Penny And Me is as good a taster of their new sound as any. In the same spirit as Del Amitri or Counting Crows, this is tailor-made for drive-time radio shows - a breezy few minutes of blithe and inoffensive melodic rock, telling the tale of care-free romance. A pleasant, if slightly uninspiring, comeback.
